Nourish your mental, physical and financial wellbeing this leap year - 29 February

Feb 29, 2024
Use your extra day this leap year to do things that are good for you, your finances and your future.

Take your time

Leap years only happen once every 4 years. Why not take the opportunity to relish the things we often take for granted? Savour every bite of your food, take notice of all that’s around you, spend some time with the ones you care about, and maybe even practice a little mindfulness.

Make sure your loved ones will be taken care of - make a nomination

Nominate a person or a charity you care about, so that the Trustee knows who you’d like your benefits to go to. The quickest way to make a nomination is to log into your myRPS (make sure to register for an online account if you haven’t already). When you’re logged in, select ‘My Nominations’ and follow the simple steps.

Plan for the future

Use the Retirement Budgeting Calculator to see how much you need to save for your desired future. It considers lifestyle factors such as how many holidays you’d like to take per year, how many club memberships you’d like to have, and where you plan on living.

Get to grips with your finances

Once you’re logged into your myRPS account, use the MoneyFit tool to help you understand your current financial circumstances and take practical steps to improve the way you manage your money.

Self-care - take part in an activity you love

Do the things that you love that you often don’t make time for, whether it’s reading a book, going for a walk, baking, or getting out in nature.
